[edit]

Block message:

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "Volkswalk". The reason given for Volkswalk's block is: "Vandalism-only account; see also filter log".

Accept reason: Based on WP:CHECKUSER technical evidence, I see no reason to believe you are related to that other account. I have lifted the autoblock. If this becomes a problem, please consider requesting WP:IPBE. Again based on the technical data I have in front of me, I think you'd be likely to receive IPBE if necessary. Hopefully it isn't necessary, though. Hopefully you are able to continue editing from this IP address(es) without problems. Yamla (talk) 16:56, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is a workplace network that over a thousand people use (and I can tell that the intended blockee is definitely lying about their location). I'd appeal via UTRS with a bit more details, but I'm not sure which button to use. Aaron Liu (talk) 16:49, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I went with a month of IPBE. Yamla is smarter than me, though. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 16:57, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
A month of IPBE is a perfectly reasonable approach here. :) Happy editing, Aaron Liu. --Yamla (talk) 16:59, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Awwww, thanks you two! Aaron Liu (talk) 17:00, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. I think this is the first time Yamla accepted an unblock request on one of my blocks. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 17:02, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

AfC notification: Draft:BiglyBT has a new comment

[edit]
I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:BiglyBT. Thanks! ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 01:29, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

What do you think about User:Polygnotus/Scripts/SourceTable? When discussing if an article meets WP:GNG it can be useful to discuss sources and whether they are reliable, indepth and constitute significant coverage. If you like it we can add it to Wikipedia:User scripts/List and Wikipedia:Scripts++. Polygnotus (talk) 03:36, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Aman karnake on Mobile device (05:29, 20 October 2024)

[edit]
An iPhone and iPad - two examples of mobile devices

A mobile device or handheld computer is a computer small enough to hold and operate in hand. Mobile devices are typically battery-powered and possess a flat-panel display and one or more built-in input devices, such as a touchscreen or keypad. Modern mobile devices often emphasize wireless networking, to both the Internet and to other devices in their vicinity, such as headsets or in-car entertainment systems, via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular networks, or near-field communication.[1] --Aman karnake (talk) 05:29, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Aman karnake Hi! Would you like to ask something? Aaron Liu (talk) 12:27, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Iamsdbhosale (04:57, 24 October 2024)

[edit]

hello, Will you please help me to publish : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Iamsdbhosale/sandbox --Iamsdbhosale (talk) 04:57, 24 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, as said on that page, you need to add secondary sources, a.k.a. media coverage. The AfC help desk and teahouse as linked on your talk page can help you with that (as well as the various formatting problems)! Aaron Liu (talk) 11:46, 24 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Basically, the depth of coverage on everything on Wikipedia is determined by the amount of Wikipedia:Reliable sources available to source the coverage. If there's no secondary sources, then we do (sometimes only nearly) no coverage. The submission you wrote has excess detail and looks more like an advert than an encyclopedic article.
Also, I noticed that you have a previously-blocked account, User:Sdbhosale. Please don't do that. Wikipedia doesn't want blocked editors just escaping their block by creating a new account; instead, it wants them to appeal blocks and know why they've been blocked and what not to do next time. WordPress

[edit]

Thanks for correcting my mistake, I somehow didn't see it was already covered in the history section. ColinWoodsPot (talk) 01:50, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No, it's fine. I added that part in the history section after/while reverting your addition lol. Just keep in mind in the future that it's usually better to not have an entire section devoted to criticism! Covering it in an integrated paragraph under history is usually enough. Hope you like this place! Aaron Liu (talk) 01:53, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Upcoming expiry of your ipblock-exempt right

[edit]

Hi, this is an automated reminder as part of Global reminder bot to let you know that your WP:IPBE right which gave you the ability to bypass IP address blocks will expire on 16:57, 7 November 2024 (UTC). If your IP is still blocked (which you can test by trying to edit when logged-out), please renew by following the instructions at the IPBE page; otherwise, you do not need to do anything. To opt out of user right expiry notifications, add yourself to m:Global reminder bot/Exclusion. Leaderbot (talk) 07:14, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
