  1. (informal) Synonym of Emmentaler, a Swiss cheese with many holes
  2. (colloquial) By extension, any cheese which resembles Emmentaler, especially ones with holes.
  3. (figurative, colloquial) Something that is full of holes or vulnerabilities.
