User:-sche
Hi, I'm -sche (IPA(key): [ʃeɪ], like the tree). Along with other editors, I help maintain Wiktionary's Hall of Fame (containing entries with exceptionally many definitions, spellings, etc) and Appendix of terms considered difficult to translate into English.
Projects on my to-do list include updating the out-of-date Wiktionary:Style guide (and improving its relationship with Wiktionary:Entry layout). Likewise, updating and sorting out the relationships between Appendix:English pronunciation, as well as Appendix:IPA characters, Wiktionary:IPA/Wiktionary:International Phonetic Alphabet, Wiktionary:IPA pronunciation key and WT:PRON/Wiktionary:Pronunciation. More generally, going through everything in the WT namespace, cross-linking when appropriate and RFDing empty pages.
Sooner or later a few remaining missing codes need to be created or moved to a Wiktionary:-namespace record of which codes have been intentionally excluded, while ISO-retired codes need to be retired or intentionally retained. (There are currently 8231 language codes.)
- Category:Categories needing attention, Special:AbuseLog, Category:Pages with broken file links, Category:Entries with non-standard headers, Category:Pages with script errors, Category:IPA pronunciations with obsolete or nonstandard characters, Category:Entries which need Greek script.
- For deleting many entries quickly, there's this js from Ruakh.
- To filter out non-Irish hits in searches, add [[bhfuil]]. To filter out non-Welsh hits, include [[wrth]] in the search.
- Interesting: Module:User:kc_kennylau/ancestor chain.
- Dixtosa's reverse/backwards dictionary lookup tool for finding words ending in a certain string
- MediaWiki:Gadget-PatrollingEnhancements.js, {{inuse|s=s}}, fr.match, [1], mediawiki messages.
