This page outlines the roadmap for the development of the Wikimedia Foundation Governance Wiki.

Background

The original roadmap for the Governance Wiki was developed based on feedback from the Wikimedia Foundation's internal On-wiki documentation working group, convened in late 2016.

As of February 2023, the Strategic Projects Incubator within the Wikimedia Foundation Communications department's Movement Communications team has taken on completing the transition and initial development of this wiki. At that time, the site "soft launched" more formally and began to more actively integrate active documentation from across the organization into the wiki.

The soft launch is expected to conclude by the end of the 2023-2024 fiscal year.

Since 2016, this effort has been coordinated by Gregory Varnum.
