Paintball Pro is a top-down cooperative shooter inspired by the real-world game Paintball. There are both single player (4v4 with AI) and multiplayer (4v4 with real players/AI) versions of the game, with two different game types - Team Match and Capture the Flag.
Simply run either PaintballProClient.jar
or PaintballProServer.jar
by double-clicking on it in the file explorer.
The game can also be run from an IDE, however this requires adding the JAR files contained in lib/
to the build path.
Currently this can either be run in an IDE, or in the command line
Command Line:
rm -rf tmp_out && mkdir tmp_out && mkdir tmp_out/res && cp -R res/ tmp_out/ && cp -R res tmp_out/
javac -d tmp_out -cp "lib/junit-4.12.jar:lib/hamcrest-core-1.3.jar:lib/gson-2.8.0.jar:." src/**/*.java test/**/*.java
(cd tmp_out && java -ea -cp ../lib/junit-4.12.jar:../lib/hamcrest-core-1.3.jar:../lib/gson-2.8.0.jar:. testRunner.Runner)
IDE:
- Create the new project
- Add the library JAR files to the classpath, and build the project to ensure this has been done correctly
- Run
Runner.java
(main method), found intest/testRunner
