• WAL (Write-Ahead-Logging), e.g. HDFS NameNode, Pravega.
• Message Store, e.g. Apache Pulsar.
• Offset/Cursor Store, e.g. Apache Pulsar.
• Object/Blob Store, e.g. storing state machine snapshots.
