Label capitalization

edit

How about discussing the capitalization of labels at Wikidata:Project_chat? --Jens Ohlig (talk) 19:07, 3 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, there is some of it already actually. Mutante (talk) 19:09, 3 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Mass importing of interwikis

edit

How do you do that?--Jasper Deng (talk) 20:04, 3 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

I got an "Import interwiki" link in the Toolbox menu. I added this script line to User:Mutante/common.js:
mw.loader.load('//www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=User:Tpt/slurpInterwiki.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript');

but since today i think it has been added somewhere globally because all of a sudden i had 2 of these links and duplicate scripts so i removed it again and have one link that is working fine anyways. Mutante (talk) 20:09, 3 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

You might also like the other line you can see in my common.js. It adds "Find item" and "Create item" links. Mutante (talk) 20:15, 3 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

So What's new on labelLister :

edit
  • A reload button, if you're on the label list, it's reloading the list, if you're on the edit menu it's reset input default value.
  • An edit button. When you click on it a prompt appear and ask you the language code that you want to edit (casse insensitive). then an edit menu and 2 new buttons (Save / Finish) appear.
  • On the edit menu you can change label, description or add and/or remove aliases.
  • If you click on "save" button, change are saving (of course), and a summary of change appear to the right of the code language in green to show you when the request is end, BUT :

(WARNING : you can change only one value per save, that's mean you need to change one value and save)

for exemple : to change label, description and aliases, you need : change label value then click on save, then change description value, then save, then add and/or remove alias (only add and remove aliases can work a the same time) and then save.

  • And if you click on "finish" button, the edit menu will close (Attention : All change will be lost)
  • You can add or remove several aliases if separated by a vertical bar

cattle

edit

Hi Mutante,

I saw you adding this mysterious fact. I seems to me that it is commonly accepted that cattle produce cow's milk (Q10988133), and not the milk of other mammals. How do you envision cattle accomplishing this? Genetically modified cattle, sure, but genetically modified how? - Brya (talk) 11:49, 4 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I don't envision any of that. The only conflict is that i did not pay attention that it is about any type of milk and not cow milk and there is a more specific Q for that. I reverted my edit. Mutante (talk) 12:48, 4 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

OK, it seems pretty optimistic, after Wikidata has existed for some five years, and has thousands of users, many of whom edit daily, to expect oneself to be the first to note that cows produce milk. - Brya (talk) 17:35, 4 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
I don't understand. All i did was patrol an edit by somebody else and i reverted it. I never expected any of that, please stop assuming. Mutante (talk) 22:18, 4 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
What I mean is that cattle is a long-established item with long-established relationships. In patrolling this the focus is on maintaining the existing content, not on expanding it. You were not so much patrolling an edit, as patrolling my maintenance of the item and reverting my reversion of a thoughtless edit. - Brya (talk) 04:59, 5 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Wiktionary Konkani

edit

Hi, I noticed your reverted my edit on Goan Konkani Wiktionary (Q94700087). I was just removing that statement because, since I merged the two pages, there was two statements saying the same thing. --Nintendofan885T&Cs apply 14:27, 20 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Ah, i see. Sorry, fixed it. Mutante (talk) 14:33, 20 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

No problem, Thanks --Nintendofan885T&Cs apply 14:35, 20 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
