In "Creole Lightening Vol. 1", Queen Ci pays homage to the legendary Moune De Rivel, aka Cécile Jean-Louis (1918-2014), a trailblazing force in the realm of creole music, known as The Guadeloupean priestess of Biguine.

De Rivel, already a trailblazer for her time, overflowing with energy and passion, lived multiple lives in one. She brilliantly pursued careers as an author, singer, composer, pianist, guitarist, painter, actress, producer, journalist, radio host, and even entrepreneur.
Enough to inspire, if not encourage, feminine creation!

With her innovative spirit ablaze, Queen Ci infuses De Rivel's timeless works with a contemporary flair, blending afro/house rhythms with soulful melodies to create an electrifying symphony that reverberates with passion and reverence.

She shares her attachment to her creole musical roots, clubbing, and queer cultures, creating an alternative vision of all her popular and underground musical influences.

Perhaps still unknown to younger generations, Queen Moune influenced and helped numerous artists, significantly contributing to the spread of Biguine and creole song on all continents.
