Overdue

A podcast about the books you've been meaning to read. Updates Mondays.

Overdue is a podcast about the books you've been meaning to read. Join Andrew and Craig each week as they tackle a new title from their backlog. Classic literature, obscure plays, goofy murder mysteries: they'll read it all, one overdue book at a time.

Caveat Lector

While Andrew and Craig believe the joy of discovery is crucial to enjoying any well-told tale, they will not shy away from spoiling specific story beats when necessary. Plus, these are books you should have read by now.

Our new theme music is composed by our good friend Nick Lerangis. Follow him on Instagram!

The podcast is introduced by the silky smooth, radio-friendly pipes of our good friend Steve Dowling.

Andrew and Craig met at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio in 2004 and worked together on several projects before starting Overdue in early 2013. In 2015, Overdue joined the Headgum podcast network.

Andrew Cunningham (Twitter, Mastodon) is a Senior Technology Reporter at Ars Technica, and his work has also appeared in Wirecutter and the New York Times. Before that, he was a computer technician who spent most of his time clearing paper jams from ancient laser printers.

An Ohio native, Andrew spent a five-year stint in New Jersey (it's nicer than it sounds) before settling down in Philadelphia, PA.

Craig Getting (@MCGetting) is the Development Director at Appel Farm Arts & Music Center, and he’s worked as a director and arts educator in Philly for over a decade.

Serious things he likes: Forrest Gump, Waiting for Godot, baseball, Kind of Blue. Goofy things he likes: Jurassic Park, Cool Dog, baseball. He may or may not have been born in the King of Prussia Mall.
