Hugo Alvar Henrik Aalto

Hugo Alvar Henrik Aalto (3 February 1898 – 11 May 1976 [1]) was a Finnish architect who made many important contributions to architecture. Sometimes called the "Father of Modernism".
Life
[change | change source]Alvar Aalto was born in Kuortane, Finland.[2] He studied architecture at the Technical University of Helsinki from 1916 to 1921.[3] He returned to Jyväskylä, where he opened his first architectural office in 1923. Alvar Aalto died in May 11, 1976, in Helsinki. [1]
