Indo-Pak terminology
[change source]I want to put it on the record that the originally cited sources do not adequately support the notion that the above term is in mainstream use. Upon scrutiny of the cited sources:
- I don't dispute Qureshi's credentials, but his 1962 book is a sociological work, and not authoritative for the geographic history of the region.
- "Traces of Humanity" in Indo-Pak History does not mention the term "Indo-Pak subcontinen" at all. In fact, "South Asian Subcontinent" was used, and the "Indo-Pak" term was used in the context of foreign relations, where it is customary to use terms of the form "<country 1>-<country 2>".
- Diehl 1967 is a paper about education, and is not an authoritative source on the geography of the region.
- The Tripadvisor source is merely a travel review written by someone.
- The Peakbagger source does not support the claim.
