Although, this is possible and have been around for some time. It was possible for a paranoid to run MindGuard from a USB stick just like you would have run it from a hard drive, but this task was quite hard to do. Why? Because the process was very geeky! You had to type a lot of geeky commands in a terminal and if, somehow, you forgot one or typed something wrong, the process had to be started all over again. Well, the process is now not at all geeky with Mind Guard Linux available that makes it possible for anyone to create a bootable CD/DVD or USB flash drive with MindGuard in it. Mind Guard Linux 2018 is available now, based on Ubuntu 16.04LTS. User Name & Password is Linux. Linear and nonlinear (from version 2.0.0) finite element analysis of 3-dimensional frames, trusses and other such structures, designed for use in civil engineering. SDL 1.2 or 2 can be used for graphics and an executable file for Window$ is included in version 2.1.0, as well as a program for analysing 2-dimensional structures, written in Sinclair BASIC for ZX Spectrum computers. A free emulator written in JavaScript, i.e. JSSpeccy v1, which was tested in FIrefox 10 from 2012 (and obviously works in all later versions), is also provided. -

Intellect Modeling Kit (IMK) is intended to build knowledge machines (KM) assisting experts on the steps of activity: * Observation; * Producing propositions based on knowledge; * Elimination of impossible propositions; * Selection and verification of the most appropriate propositions; * Memorizing - new knowledge item creation; * Abstraction – building objects representing typical signs of similar objects groups, data mining. KM is not intended to replace human experts, it is built to multiply abilities. Machine should not be responsible for decisions. The IMK is designed to create ready-to-use software applications using simple text files. Any human knowledge can be uploaded to KM by expert not familiar with software coding. Demos present in kit. A simple news server (NNTP) for Linux
BasicNews is a simple news (NNTP) server for Linux. It's meant to be used as an internal server (eg. as a company news server, or private NNTP server, etc). BasicNews is not able to exchange posts with other servers, as it is designed to run on a leaf site. Keeping it simple allowed me to create an easy to install NNTP server, with no maintenance burden. BasicNews supports authentication of clients, both via internal flat files and via LDAP. -
