Fileaxy is a file de-duplication, organization, synchronization, and bulk previewing tool which utilizes a new user interface for local file management. Using content hashing or machine vision algorithms, Fileaxy can detect identical files as well as similar names, images, videos, or fonts and correlate those to others based on naming conventions. Optionally integrates with ImageMagick, GraphicsMagick, FFmpeg, and Mac Sips file decoding with a simple button click. Fileaxy opens NO network connections and will NOT request passwords. Fileaxy uses NO 3rd party libraries or code. Read/write wear to SSDs and mechanical drives is minimized where possible. Picasa lacks of a serious multi file rename function. This project helps you with a Button for Picasa that will offer this missing function. Select the files you want to rename and simply click on the Rename Button. A Dialog let you choose all the details for renaming files. Limitation: Picasa transfers each file with full pathname into the clipboard it depends on the directory structure how many files can be renamed at once. Installation: Just unpack the zip to the Google\Picasa3\buttons folder

Visual Disk Diet helps you visualize the space used on your drives with a colorful radial tree chart. Now you can see quickly which folders take so much space, and get rid of them (coming soon). Coded with java/processing. Feel free to use, modify or suggest ideas! It's pretty much a copy of Disk Space Fan but Open Source so it can be adapted to extended purposes (as browsing file system...) It's very fast on data drives (your data partition, usb drive...) It's NOT optimized for very large and complex drives such as big C: drive for now so it can take up to 10 minutes to scan it (and there is no feedback during this scan, so it can be frustrating).
