Madagascar is a software package for geophysical data processing and reproducible numerical experiments. The package mission is to provide a convenient environment for researchers working with digital image and data processing in geophysics and related fields.

ALAMODE is designed for analyzing lattice anharmonicity and lattice thermal conductivity of solids. By using an external DFT package such as VASP and Quantum ESPRESSO, you can extract harmonic and anharmonic force constants straightforwardly with ALAMODE. Using the anharmonic force constants, you can also calculate lattice thermal conductivity from first principles. CPSeis is the open-source version of ConocoPhillips' former seismic processing system. Uses Fortran 90 and C/C++ layers for I/O. The new system was designed using an MPI-parallel model and works well on Linux clusters or on individual workstations.

openGPR is a framework for the management, processing and 2D/3D-visualization of ground penetrating radar (GPR, georadar) data. It interoperates with existing tools like Seismic Unix, with a special focus on georadar applications.

Geophysical Library is a C++-library to handle geophysical data. At the moment the focus is on magnetotelluric and seismic data. It also includes a genetic algorithm for data inversion, signal processing and statistics routines.

HydroSed2D is a two-dimensional numerical model for hydrodynamics and sediment transport on unstructured mesh.

This project provides a simple atmospheric model as a Fortran 90 library. The model solves some of the most important processes of the tropical climate system, and is suitable for example for studying ocean/atmopshere interactions.

MieConScat is a GUI/Console program for generating MIE SCATtering data as a table of cross sections. It can generate scattering cross sections over specified angular ranges and total absorption cross sections. It was initially developed to aid work with optical particle counters (OPC) especially when CONverting data between cross section and diameter space. The name OCFlow stands for Open Channel Flow. With the program OCFlow you can calculate the water table for little natural rivers.

Sandia National Laboratories’ (SNL) environmental assessment modeling tool helps optimize the design of MHK-turbine array layouts within ocean, tidal, and river systems to balance energy generation efficiency with environmental considerations. The new tool, SNL-EFDC, is an augmented version of US EPA’s Environmental Fluid Dynamics Code (EFDC) and includes; (1) a new module that simulates energy conversion (momentum withdrawal) by MHK turbine-like devices including commensurate changes in the turbulent kinetic energy and turbulent kinetic energy dissipation rate, (2) new, advanced sediment dynamics routines, and (3) augmented water quality modules. SNL-EFDC has been verified and validated against flume measurements of flow around sub-scale turbines and actuator disks.

Slowmo is an application developed to calculate and plot the travel times of the wave front of a tsunami.

Programs to download and work with satellite measurements, calculate solar wind (SW) propagation time and compare data to other satellites. It uses and compares different modern techniques to determine the SW planar structures orientation.

Tidal Analysis Program in PYthon (TAPPY) uses the least squares optimization function from scipy to perform a harmonic analysis (calculate amplitude and phases of a set of sine waves) of a hourly time series of water level values.
