Chat with Gemini Live

You can use Gemini Live to:

• Start a conversation with real-time spoken responses.
• Have more natural voice conversations that ebb and flow at your own pace.
• Brainstorm your next big idea, rehearse for an interview and so much more.

1. On your Android device, open Gemini .
   • If available, you can also say “Hey Google.”
2. At the bottom right, tap Live .
   • For your first time, follow any on-screen instructions.
3. Start talking.

Tip: To turn off the microphone, tap either Hold or End , or say “stop.”

Use Gemini as your built-in AI assistant

You can conveniently get quick answers, contextual help, and assistance from Gemini without leaving the screen you were on. When you say “Hey Google” or activate Gemini by touch, like long pressing the power button, Gemini will start listening to you even if you have another app open.

Tips:

• You can generate custom images and drag and drop them right into apps, like Gmail.
• You can find key information in content like YouTube videos when you open the on-screen overlay on some apps.

You can access apps like Gmail, Maps, Tasks, and many more through Gemini extensions. You can let Gemini create lists, set reminders, manage phone settings, and create YouTube Music playlist that fit the vibe.

1. On your Android device, open Gemini .
   • If available, you can also say “Hey Google.”
2. Enter your question or prompt.
3. Tap Submit .
   • If an extension is available, the Gemini app automatically uses it.
