GANGTOK: Two candidates from the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) party have secured seats in the Sikkim Assembly without an election.
Aditya Golay and Satish Chandra Rai were declared winners after their opponents withdrew from the races.
Golay won the Soreng-Chakung seat following the withdrawal of Probin Hang Subba from the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) party.
Rai secured the Namchi-Singhithang seat after SDF candidate Daniel Rai withdrew.
Officials confirmed that because only one candidate remained in each constituency, both men were elected unopposed.
