Delhi CET

Department of Training and Technical Education, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi conducts Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to full-time diploma programmes in various institutes affiliated to Board of Technical Education, Delhi.Till 2019-20 the admissions for diploma programs were based on Common Entrance Test conducted by Controller CET. Last year due to Covid-19 pandemic situations, the admissions were done based on Merit List prepared on the basis of marks secured in the Qualifying Exam. Its highly likely that this year also the admission will be granted through Merit basis. CET admissions are done on the basis of Class 10 exams however, it is also also available for lateral entry of 10+2 (PCM/B) qualified candidates from schools located in Delhi or candidates who have qualified 10th class and successfully completed two years course from Industrial Training Institutions (ITIs) located in Delhi. Rules For Preparation Of Merit ListGroup-A Aggregate marks* of Best of the 5 Subjects in the qualifying examination which must include Science, Mathematics and English. (*Inclusive of Both Theory & Practical, wherever applicable.)Order of Priority in case of a Tie - Candidates having more marks in Mathematics in Qualifying Exam shall rank higher.- In case of a further tie, the order of rank would be based on marks obtained in Science in the Qualifying Exam,- followed by marks obtained in English and- Then the Date of birth for drawing the merit list i.e. the candidate older in age shall rank higher.Group-BAggregate marks of Best of 4 Subjects in the qualifying examination which must Include1. English for MOP (English)2. Hindi or Sanskrit form MOP (Hindi)3. English for MOP (English) and Hindi/Sanskrit for MOP (Hindi)Order of Priority in case of a Tie For MOP (English):- Candidates securing more marks in English in Qualifying Exam shall rank higher.- After that date of birth shall be considered i.e. the candidate older in age shall rank higher.For MOP (Hindi):- Candidates securing more marks in Hindi/Sanskrit- After that date of birth shall be considered for drawing the merit list i.e. the candidate older in age shall rank higher.Group CAggregate of Best of 3 Subjects which must include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/BiologyOrder of Priority in case of a Tie - Candidates having more marks in Chemistry- Followed by marks obtained in Physics- Followed by marks obtained in Biology/Mathematics- Then the Date of birth for drawing the merit list i.e. the candidate older in age shall rank higher.Group D1. For 10+2 withPhysics, Chemistry, Mathematics /Biology: Percentage of Aggregate which Must Include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics /Biology OR2. For 10 + 2 Science with Mathematics: Percentage of Aggregate Marks which Must Include Mathematics OR3. For 10 + 2 Science with Technical Vocational: Percentage of Aggregate Marks OR4.
