Thank you for sticking with us through what has been a mixed night of boxing.

From the sublime undisputed light-welterweight contest between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano to the surreal vision of Jake Paul and Mike Tyson stumbling through 16 minutes.

I don't think that last fight did much for the reputation of boxing but who really expected it to?

As mentioned, we have another live text tonight when England's Chris Billam-Smith looks to unify in the cruiserweight division, so do come back for that.

Now, go and get some sleep!

If your eyes haven't gone square at this time of the morning then I'll throw a couple of punch stats your way.

Paul was most active in round three, throwing 44 punches, although only 16 landed.

  5. Taylor booed in narrow points victory over Serranopublished at 06:14 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November

And let's not forget that tonight's card wasn't a completed damp squib.

Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, who really should have been given top billing, put on another classic encounter in their rematch.

Taylor retained her undisputed light-welterweight title via unanimous decision, although she was booed by fans at AT&T Stadium, who felt she fought dirty.

Ireland's Taylor, who also won the first meeting in 2022, was deducted a point in the eighth round for continuous use of the head, something which led to a cut opening up above Serrano's eye earlier in the fight.

Serrano is the definition of quantity over quality. Unbelievable warrior and puncher but not a great boxer. No head movement and just swinging from start to finish, that's what cost her.

    Graeme, London

Taylor clear winner. Slow start, but grew into the fight incredibly and comfortably won the last 5 rounds. Serrano was just as bad with the headbutts.

Mike Tyson, speaking on Netflix: "I am happy.

"I knew he was a good fighter. I knew he was prepared.

"I didn't prove nothing to anybody, only to myself. I am just happy with what I can do."

On Jake Paul: "Very good fighter. Absolutely [deserves respect].

On whether he will fight again: "I don't know, it depends on the situation. I don't think so, maybe his brother [Logan]."

On wearing a knee brace: "Yeah [I had a knee injury], but I can't use that for an excuse."

On biting his glove throughout the fight: "That was a habit of mine, biting my glove when I fight. I have a biting fixation."

Well that was a big bag of hot air. Glasses raised to Taylor vs Serrano for a fight worth staying up to watch.

What an anti climax after Taylor Serrano. A tame sparring session but everyone buys into the hype every time…
