The Stand: The Betrayal (1994)
Season 1, Episode 3
7/10
So so...

Warning: Spoilers
This episode is watchable, but does not live up to the early promise of the first episode. It isn't the worst however, that "honour" goes to the final one...

Mother Abagail's death isn't very well handled in my view.

Like the society around them, things fall apart in terms of the drama, directing, acting and general cohesion.

There are a few "patriotic" moments which might strike chords with Americans, but they don't do it for the rest of us.

The character of Flagg is powerful in the book, but somehow not so compelling here. It is not an exaggeration to say that he sometimes has more menace as a crow, than in human form.
