Hey,
my name is Tibor Kaputa, I'm the creator of Simple Mobile Tools. It is a group of open source Android apps that are focused on having pleasant and consistent user experience, which is something I always missed in Android. I'm taking care of the apps almost alone, I currently have 1 helping developer. It means that I'm doing almost all the development, marketing, support, UI etc. I started working on them as a side project, but they evolved in a fulltime project by now and it is what I live off. The community is also involved as from time to time someone helps with some bugfixes, translations are also done by a handful of awesome volunteers (40+ languages in some apps).
All of our apps are perfect for privacy conscious people too, as none of the apps has access to the internet. So even if I wanted to steal some data from your device, I just couldn't do it, as there is no way of sending it to myself :) Since there are no ads, there are no marketing companies tracking you either. You won't find useless permissions either, each permission makes perfect sense and it is requested only on appropriate user action. What you will find is consistent behaviour across all apps, familiar icons, elements, actions or whole screens.
As the apps are open source, anyone can read the actual source code and so they can be a great source of sample code for other Android developers. I often get inspiration from other open source projects too. All apps are fully written in Kotlin, which makes this resource even more valuable.
First 8 apps have been published in 2016, the number has grown to 21 since then. Clock and Camera have recently been deprecated because the inability to make them work reliably enough, so I'm not counting those. 6 of the most popular apps have both a Pro and a no longer maintained free version, that's why you see only 15 app icons :)

Currently the suite has 48+ million downloads, in average 60k installs a day. From time to time I will try wrapping up some recent bugfixes, new functions and future plans on Patreon.
