A week after its launch, the LG Watch Urbane Second Edition LTE is being yanked from shelves due to a "quality issue."

LG did not immediately respond to a request for comment, but 9to5Google tipped defective hardware that affected the watch's day-to-day functionality.

In a statement, AT&T said it's "notifying customers who purchased the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE that they are eligible for a refund due to a quality issue with the device. Customers may go to a store or contact customer care at 800-331-0500 to return or, alternatively exchange for another connected watch."

Verizon also confirmed that it has canceled sales of the Watch Urbane 2, saying the company would alert customers who pre-ordered the device.

"The watches aren't shipping to those who pre-ordered them, and they aren't showing up at the stores," Reddit user sean_dudley wrote on Thursday. "Curious what the heck the problem with the watch is. Everyone who has it seems to love it."

Unveiled in October, the LG Watch Urbane Second Edition was the first device to take advantage of the recently announced Android Wear cellular support.

With a 1.38-inch, 480-by-480-resolution screen, the wearable features three side buttons (for access to favorite contacts, LG's Health app, and the home screen), a "sporty" plastic band, and built-in heart rate monitor.

Inside, the watch runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 570mAh hexagonal battery, 768MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal music storage, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G, and LTE.

It also boasts a nano-SIM card for use with compatible U.S. carriers, like AT&T and Verizon. As of press time, the watch is no longer available on either carrier's website.
