Typing- Memorizing the Keyboard

Learning Objective:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to familiarize the basic parts of a keyboard.

Lesson Outline:
Motivation Show the Typing PowerPoint presentation and discuss the basics of typing.. Presentation Activity Discuss the main parts of a keyboard. Demonstrate how to play and use the [Link]

1. Have the students memorize the keyboard. After the introduction of the Typing PowerPoint, have
them fill in the left hand home row keys: ASDF onto their blank keyboard. 2. Go to Website: [Link] and practice take down the


WPM and Grade for each student. Make sure they call you over when a lesson is complete to take down their WPM and grade. If the finish early- have them repeat the lesson: Practice makes perfect! Practice Students will now be familiar with the basic of typing- memorizing the keyboard.
