Tr: Let's be discovered.
- Box Tr: I will use class dojo to pick some student and come to the front
- animals and wear the gloves and try to enter her/ his hands in the box and
- KWL chart guess what inside. If the students answer correctly, I will give him/
his point in class Dojo.
Ss: okay.
Tr: let’s do it. I will use class dojo to pick some student to try it.
Ss: he/she come in the front of the student and wear the gloves and enter her/ his
hands in the box and guess what inside.
Ss: I think inside animal.
Tr: hmm, you can show it to see what is. it is an animal, very good guessing.
The teacher use smartboard to show the students KWL chart.

Tr: as we see inside the box is different kinds of animals. We will use these
animals in this chart to know more about it and what we want to know and in the
last lesson, we will tell me what we learned about these animals.
Ss: Okay.
Tr: now, I have different kinds of animals in this box. Turn and talk with your
partner. Tell me What you Know about these animals? or choose an animal to talk
about it.
Ss: answers.
Tr: good, tell me what you Want to know about these animals?
Ss: answers.
Tr: Excellent, end of the lesson we will talk what we learned.
Tr: So, today will we learn about different kinds of animals the outcome is all
about animals.
Tr: before we start I, have question for you Do you know What are some types of
animals?
Ss: no
Tr: The vocabulary is Mammal, reptile, bird, amphibian, fish and insects.
Tr: for this lesson will focus on four vocabularies only it is Mammal, reptile, bird,
amphibian.
So, I will use this vocabulary to classify different kinds of animals.
Tr: look for this schedule we have Mammal, reptile, bird and amphibian and
diffusion with a picture to understand more. So, I will use the animal as I used in
the beginning of the lesson to classify. In this schedule I have one question in each
box .
1- Do you know What are mammals?
2- Do you know What are birds?
3- Do you know What are reptiles?
4- Do you know What are amphibians?

Tr: for example, I have camel, what do you think? It is a mammal, birds, reptile or
amphibian?
Ss: they rise their hand and answer.
Tr: very good. So, you will work in pairs. I will give you each 2 students paper and
3 or 4 different animals to classify, we have 3 to 5 min to finish this activity, the
last thing when you finish come and sit nicely in the carpet.
Tr: tell the group by group to go to in their centers.

Students when they finch they come and sit in the carpet nicely and the teacher
use class dojo to give them point after that the teacher start to explain the
activity.

Þ Materials for this group: buckle of animals, circle of classifying.

Þ In this group they will do in pairs, so every 2 students have different buckle of animals and
circle of classifying so the students will take one animal buckle and will put it in a circle.

Þ For example, Hamad takes one buckle of animal like a cat and he will discuss with a partner
where it will put it after that he will put the buckle in mammals circle.

Þ Developing level, Activity 2


Þ Do you know What are some types of animals?
Þ Materials for this group: envelope, paper.
Þ In this group, the students will work independently. I will put inside the envelope some
different animals and the students will open the envelope and see the picture after he/she
will classify the animals in the table.
Þ For example, Reem will take one paper and envelope she will open the envelope and will
sorts pictures and words in her desk after that she will put the picture in the box dedicated
to images then will look for the picture and try to find the words which types is it. it is
mammals, bird, reptile or amphibian?

Þ Materials for this group: envelope, cards, box animals as we used at the beginning of
the lesson.
Þ In this group, they will work independently. they have envelope inside it cards and the
teacher will put in the middle of the table box animals as we used at the beginning of the
lesson. So, the student will use animals and will make sentences like ((it is a _______
because it has hair/ fur/ they can hop, walk, swim and fly by the cards that inside the
envelope.

Þ For example, Salem will take one envelop he will open and he will
sort the words in his table after that he will choose one animal like a frog
and he will put it in the first after that he will put the sentence (( It is a
_________ because it ............amphibian cards and he will put it in the
sentence after that he will read the sentences again to complete ((
because it ......... )) Life on land and in water.

I will give them a puzzle of vocabulary like Mammal, reptile, bird and
amphibian also some animals to classify.

KWL chart All right, When the time finishes the teacher will ask the student to make
tidy up their tables or group and sit nicely in the carpet to give them a
point in the class dojo. However, the teacher will use again the KWL chart
she will ask the student last question What we learned in this lesson?
Ss: they will answer.
After that, the teacher will make a quick recap of the lesson to remember
the student what they do.

Homework - Draw 4 animals you study it today and write which type of animal it is
Mammals, birds, reptiles or amphibians?

Assessment Exit ticket: End of this lesson I have an exit ticket before finishing the lesson, every
Strategies: student will get one picture kind of animal and he/she will put a circle for correct
classify when they finish, they will put it in the middle of the table and the teacher
will come and take it.
