• Enter the following query in the query panel:

BusinessPartner ? query = id = $P{businessPartner.id} & dtos =

STEP 7: Creating fields (contd.)

• Add a new field businessPartner.name of the type java.lang.String. You can add more
fields if you like. Once you're done, go to the Design window, drag and drop the field
from Outline view to Detail band. For every business partner, in our case just one, a
detail band instance will be inserted into your report.

• Mapping UDF: There are 3 ways of mapping UDFs

1. Get by UDF name

SELECT bp.udf.CcEmail FROM BusinessPartner bp WHERE
bp.udf.CcEmail='[email protected];[email protected]
2. Using a function
SELECT getUdfByName(bp,'CcEmail') FROM BusinessPartner bp WHERE
getUdfByName(bp,'CcEmail')='[email protected];[email protected]'
3. By UDF meta
SELECT getUdfByMeta(bp,'58186B814E8C41FAAA74D303C809C633') FROM
BusinessPartner bp WHERE
getUdfByMeta(bp,'58186B814E8C41FAAA74D303C809C633')='[email protected]

STEP 8: Create Parameters

which is used in the report, but is not
present in the data source.

• Add a new parameter

businessPartner.id of type
java.lang.String by adding a custom
property on it with the name
“autoSet” with the value
“objectId”.

This will allow the client applications to

select a business partner for the report.
