We all know that a huge amount of work goes into perfecting food photography with experts armed with little tricks to improve the look of dishes.
Known techniques include using shoe polish to colour burger patties and spraying fruit and vegetables with hair spray to keep them looking fresh.
However, it appears that these enhancements have left customers disappointed after their food expectations have not met reality.

However a Reddit user has revealed that his taco had nothing but a soggy bottom and quickly collapsed
Disappointed diners have taken to social media to share pictures of their unfortunate looking dinners that have not lived up to their advertisement.
Fast food restaurants are common culprits for deceptive advertising. The KFC rice box caused a stir last October with disgruntled customers sharing pictures online.
A frustrated diner took to Reddit to share his photograph writing: 'It cost me £6.09 which is about $9.25. I don't expect it to look perfect, but I do expect more than a tiny scoop of rice and half a chicken breast.'

However, this diner shared what appeared to be a regular shaped pizza with a small triangle taken out of it
A customer shared a photo on Imgur revealing the rather hollow looking cheese sticks compared to the oozing ones advertised
It seems that ready meals are equally as disappointing as fast food as this ravioli in a can proved
A rather stomach churning meal came in the form of a jellified ravioli in a can which looked nothing like the pasta dish advertised
Equally guilty are McDonald's whose Mozzarella sticks have left customers feeling a little short changed.

Taco Bell customers have also been left feeling a little let down when their taco shells have turned out to be holding less than they let on.

However diners may be left feeling hungry once they take a look at the rather slimy looking meal inside

The reality seems a lot grimmer with a brown sludgy mess presented to those who open it
These organic corn and tomato enchiladas look like authentic Mexican cuisine on its box
However, when opened it's a very different story with the stuffed tortillas floating in a liquid sauce
