And while we all know Olivia, Charlotte, Noah and Jack take the lead every year, it seems other parents are shifting away from the popular monikers.
From Peyton, Harlow, Elsie and Marley to Carter, Finn, Parker and Kaiden, these are the fast-trending baby names for girls and boys.
BabyCenter has revealed the top 100 for both genders - and one of the biggest trends was inspired by parents using surnames as first names.
Here, FEMAIL has rounded up the fastest rising baby names in Australia - and some new contenders may surprise you!

For the girls, Ruby, Aria, Zara, Aaliyah and Ariana were some of the baby names on the rise, followed by unusual monikers such as Marley, Peyton, Harlow and Luna.
Other popular names on the rise included Skylah, Phoebe, Aurora, Eloise and Freya.

Television and movie characters are likely to inspire some baby names, including Phoebe (Friends), Aria (Pretty Little Liars) and Edward (Twilight).
