A former Masterchef contestant is facing drug charges after he was allegedly caught by police with more than 150 ecstasy pills and around $16,500 in cash.
Filippo Silvestro, 42, appeared at the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday, charged with four offences including dangerous drug supply, possession and tainted property according to the Courier Mail.
He was arrested by police in Brisbane’s CBD on October 28 this year when officers allegedly found the large quantity of drugs and cash.

Silvestro was a financial planner when he made the top 16 on the 2012 season of the TV cooking competition, but left the competition when a Quiche Lorraine went disastrously wrong.
The Queensland man did not enter pleas to the four charges against him and his case has been adjourned until February 2015.
