A homeless man has been charged after a teenager was hit on the back of the head and thrown down a well where he was trapped for seven hours in the dark.
Chris Moore, 19, was walking to a friend's house from the south-west suburb of Gosnells to Kelmscott in Perth when he was attacked on April 13, The West Australian reported.
He was thrown down a 5m to 7m deep well at an abandoned church on Railway Avenue in Kelmscott.

Mr Moore suffered serious injuries to his face, body and arms and was taken to the intensive care unit at Royal Perth Hospital in a neck brace.
He does not remember much other than being hit in the back of the head before he lost consciousness.
'I woke up a few hours later at the bottom of the well and sort of blood everywhere - didn't know what was going on,' Mr Moore told 7News.
'[I was] crying a lot, praying and just calling out for help.

Mr Moore was saved by a passer-by who heard his cries for help seven hours later and walked him to the Kelmscott Train Station. Above is the well
'At one point, I just sat down and gave up but then I had the urge to call out again and that was when I was found.
'It could have been any reason, I didn't do anything to upset anyone as far as I know.'

Western Australia detectives have charged a 26-year-old homeless man with acts or omissions causing bodily harm or danger.
He is due to appear in the Armadale Magistrates Court later on Wednesday.
