'This is my first time (in Dubai) and I feel so happy to be here. Thank you for the warm welcome, especially to the Filipino people in Dubai,' he told Sport360.

'I'd love to have a fight here in Dubai but I don’t know yet. We are working on that.

'I have no preference, it can be anybody – it depends on the negotiation. 'There is Amir Khan, a rematch with (Floyd) Mayweather, (Danny) Garcia or (Terence) Crawford.'

Khan, meanwhile, confirmed discussions with Pacquiao's camp are progressing well.

'Talks are going really well,' he told The Hindu. 'They [Pacquiao's team] are speaking to my team, I have just left it to my team.

'I fight anybody who is brought in front of me. If it's Manny Pacquiao, it's Manny Pacquiao. If not, then somebody else.

'But we are still waiting for a response on what's going to happen.'
