Tyson Fury has challenged Anthony Joshua to a 2,000 metres rowing race for charity.

The 29-year-old uploaded a video to Instagram asking Joshua to take part in a 'concept two indoor rowing challenge' as part of Sport Relief this year.

In the Instagram post alongside his trainer Ben Davison, Fury said: 'Morning everybody. Tyson Fury here.

'I challenge AJ, Anthony Joshua, as a sporting challenge for charity of our choices, £1,000, winner takes all for their choice of charity to a 2,000 metres concept two rowing challenge.

'I would say I'm a better athlete than you Anthony and I'm willing to prove it.

'2,000 metres which is the usual distance for a race, concept two indoor rowing challenge.

Davison replied: 'We're going to find out.'

Fury continued: 'The challenge is out there, if you decide to take it good on you.' 

Fury entered Ricky Hatton's gym in Manchester on Tuesday afternoon for his first spar in over a year as the self-proclaimed 'Gyspy King' edges closer to his long-awaited return to the ring. 

Meanwhile, Joshua uploaded a video to his Instagram page on Tuesday working on his power and explosiveness ahead of the unification showdown with Joseph Parker at the end of this month.
