Matt Le Blanc refuses to take part in Friends reunion show
I won't be there for your: Matt Le Blanc has said he does not want a reunion of the hit show Friends
Actor Matt Le Blanc has emphatically firmly ruled out a reunion of the hit show Friends.
The actor, who played lovable rogue Joey in the long running series, said he doesn't want to reunite with the other members.
'No. I'd rather have a party and everybody there,' said Le Blanc, 43, when asked if he wanted a Friends reunion.
'Friends was this magical, cool thing, like lightning in a bottle and I feel super fortunate to be part of it.
'But I can't see a reunion not feeling gratuitous. What would the story be? We all get together and what? Have coffee?'
The series ran for 236 episodes from 1994 to 2004 with its final episode attracting 52.5m viewers in the US.
Le Blanc, whose catchphrase was 'How you doin',' spoke out as he makes a return to TV screens after a four year break in the BBC2 comedy Episodes.
He stars as a character called Matt Le Blanc who takes over the lead role into a trashy American remake of a British sitcom.
The series, which starts on Monday, is aimed at sending up American remakes of British hits, such as Coupling which was cancelled by the NBC network after just four episodes.
Le Blanc said he deliberately took time off from his career following the end of Friends and the cancellation of his last series, Joey.
When the Friends spin off ended he took a four year break to spend time with his daughter and get over the end of his marriage.

Hollywood has been swirling with rumours that the Friends cast - Jennifer Aniston,Courtney Cox, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer - will re-unite for a film based on the hit show.
Those rumours reached fever pitch last year when Aniston and Cox appeared together in the TV comedy Cougar Town.
Matthew Perry added to the rumours when said she would welcome a reunion with the cast.
But Le Blanc told a US TV magazine he sees no point in getting back together.
'It's better to imagine what those characters are doing now, because then it can be whatever you wanted to be.'
