'He was a little confused': Kim Kardashian reveals how she explained Caitlyn Jenner's transition to Lamar Odom after the star woke from his coma

Not only did he have to learn to walk and talk again, this embattled star also had to make new memories after a drug overdose almost took his life.

One of those memories was that his former in-law-Bruce Jenner is now known as Caitlyn, something Kim Kardashian reveals she had to explain.

In a new sneak peek of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the 35-year-old star tells how she tried to make the recovering basketballer understand how things had changed.

In the trailer for Sunday's episode, Kim visits Cait at her New York hotel where she is staying ahead of Kanye West's big fashion and album launch.

As the event will be Lamar's first public outing since he was found unresponsive in a brothel in Las Vegas in October, the reality star wanted to ensure her brother-in-law understood Cait's situation.

Sitting down with Cait, Kim says: 'So he saw something on the news about you, and he was a little confused, so I had to like explain it to him.

'I was like, ''Well, it's Caitlyn now.'' And he was like, ''What?'''

Not offended that her step son-in-law does not remember that she has transitioned from Bruce to Caitlyn, the 66-year-old says that Khloe has also tried.

Cait says in the trailer: 'I know Khloe tried to explain it to him a couple of times, but at that point I don't think he was getting anything.'

Adding to the issues is that, at the time, Cait and Khloe were also not speaking.

Asked by Kim if she has talked to Khloe recently, the former Olympian says, 'Khloe hasn't been talking to me lately'.

With her husband's big event approaching and Lamar's recovery still ongoing, Kim says in a to-the-camera interview she just wants everyone to get along.

'This is a really big week, Lamar's already dealing with the pressure of being in an environment where there is a lot of people and this might be really difficult for him.

While Khloe and Cait were at loggerheads, on Wednesday People revealed that the pair are now talking again.

A source told the magazine: 'They're definitely talking now. [But for Khloe] there are personality traits she is still getting used to.'
