The color black was chosen as a way for the movie and TV industry to make a statement and speak out in unison against a pervasive culture of misconduct brought to light by the downfall of shamed movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.

The reality star turned actress - who got her start as a housemate on MTV's The Real World: San Diego in 2004 - covered her top half with a strapless leather bodice which transformed into a full, mesh skirt on bottom.

Jamie continued the contrast with a pair of stylishly mismatched stiletto heels, one white and one black.

The Big Hero 6 star's sparkling shoes matched her diamond drop earrings and subtle ear-cuff.

Jamie wore her ombre tresses ultra-straight with a sharp center part at the middle, while injecting a vibrant bolt of color with a slick of bright red lipstick.

The actress explained her reasons for wearing black with an Instagram close-up posted on her way to the event.

She captioned the photo: 'I choose to wear black to support a movement that is fighting for harassment free work environments in all occupations, holding abusers accountable for their actions and for gender parity in leadership positions.

The star continued by expressing her gratitude for the leaders of the #TimesUp movement and other influential causes.

'Thank you to all the courageous people who stepped up, shared their stories and ignited this fire.'
