Computerized modeling is now accurate enough to design to a specific quality level with no buffer. If a vendor wants a product to last 8 years they can aim for that. And it shows.

I’m going to try to do something stupid. Similar to this https://www.ana-white.com/community-projects/classic-bunk-beds-re-imagined-stairs but as a loft bed with a trundle underneath. This will be a disaster.

Correct. Maybe I’m the only person this has happened to, but when forced to check a car seat once, it did not come out in the same condition it went in as.

    SB Misc Thread current moderation

The vibe of the soap box has certainly shifted. To be blunt, it feels like a goal to see how many long time posters can get banned over minutia. To use the bar analogy from the top of this forum, the bouncers are tossing every person who raises their voice, vs. “yeah that’s bob, we love him but...

There’s no point for the plane. However, being able to use on the plane so it is available for car on other side is useful! The inflatable one can solve that though.

Emergency brake triggered on my niro for a vehicle in front of me that was turning right (I was not going to hit it) . That was annoying for the driver behind me. You have to take your foot off the go pedal before it’ll go again. Really wish that was a driver profile, not car, setting. Like...

That's a nice mix of capabilities, I like! Certainly not Kiev. To make something up, it's an area defense capable LPD. Seems a good design, wonder how it'll work in practice.

Thx! My takeaway is that if controlling for the above details (which I at least mostly can without doing fancy stuff) there’s no major issue. Going to watch the system data and see if it makes a difference. Might not be a lot but optimizing is fun!

Quick check for myself education - what’s today’s logic behind this? Ie. is this because of the lower max heat output of the heat pump, because backup heat will turn on, something else? I’m familiar with the lower max heat output, but not sure why that would preclude setting the temperature...
