Song dates
[edit]Where did you get your date for For You I Will (Monica song)? Because the RIAA lists a different date. Binksternet (talk) 14:52, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
- I can see that four minutes after my note here, you fixed the date to be in alignment with the RIAA source, which means you saw my note and acknowledged the authority of RIAA. But I'm still curious about where you got that other date. Binksternet (talk) 17:03, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

"Edward Sheeran song"? Really?
[edit]I'm sure you're quite well aware Ed Sheeran doesn't go by his full name Edward professionally. So why you decided to create First Times (Edward Sheeran song) to get around creating an article at the most basic page format, First Times, when there is nothing else there is beyond me. Be sensible where and how you create an article next time, and maybe realise not all Ed Sheeran's album tracks need articles just because they charted in a few countries. Thank you. Ss112 00:11, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
- Please stop creating (or trying to create) articles with the disambiguation "Edward Sheeran song". You know he doesn't go by this name, and we don't create articles with somebody's full name, only their stage name. Barcelona (Ed Sheeran song) exists and has been created before. As I already said, you do not need to create articles for each of Ed's album tracks. They lack notability other than charting. Ss112 03:20, 8 November 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Page moves
[edit]Hey Lyndon George,
Please do not move articles to other titles without discussion unless they are unambiguously better. Emperor names are usually done case-by-case rather than systematically to English, Greek, or Latin. Iazyges Consermonor Opus meum 18:40, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
- As a side-note, many of those articles chosen to use the Greek name were decided in line with a (very) old decision to standardize to Greek. Perhaps it should be revisited, but please don't mass move articles without discussion; especially when you lack the user right to move the subpages (such as Good article reviews). Charts from separate years
[edit]Hello. Please be more mindful in future when inserting charts on articles. On Counting Stars here, you added a chart from 2022 to a chart table that is for peaks from 2013–2014. Please create a separate wikitable in future for such a long gap between charts like I have just done. Thank you. Ss112 10:18, 26 April 2022 (UTC)
Extra track listings
[edit]Your new extra track listings are redundant to Template:Ed Sheeran songs. The larger footer navbox serves as a central navigation point for Sheeran's song articles, so we don't need the extra track listing which clutters the infobox.
In the past, several discussions of this sort resulted in the deletion of the extra track listing templates in favor of one footer navbox. See Wikipedia:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2015_December_16#Template:The_Beatles_tracks, Wikipedia:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2015_August_18#Template:Dark_Horse_tracks, and Wikipedia:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2013_February_26#Rihanna_album_track_listing.Binksternet (talk) 14:06, 3 May 2022 (UTC)

Creating articles for every song from Un Verano Sin Ti
[edit]Hi. Lyndon, I've seen you around editing for a while. I would think you would know by this point that just because album tracks by a popular artist charted, it does not make them independently notable. In most cases, chart positions alone do not make a song notable. You are using sources for the album on the song articles. Please note: sources about a song's parent album do not contribute to the notability of its songs per WP:NSONGS. Please stop creating articles for these album tracks if all you have on them is that they charted across Latin America, unless they achieved something notable outside of being a Bad Bunny song. Otherwise you may find these articles redirected. Thank you. Ss112 09:58, 7 June 2022 (UTC)
- Lyndon, I asked you to stop making articles for songs from Un Verano Sin Ti that achieved nothing outside of charting from streaming numbers. Charting alone is not a guarantee of notability per WP:NSONGS. It appears you stopped for a couple of weeks and then resumed creating articles late last month. Enough is enough, stop making articles for Bad Bunny album tracks that aren't singles and have nothing about them other than appearances on Latin American charts or I will redirect them. Thank you. Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Lyndon George! Your additions to Matilda (Harry Styles song) have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 22:42, 28 June 2022 (UTC)
National varieties of English
[edit]Hello. In a recent edit to the page Shape of You, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 16:16, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
Recent reverts
[edit]Hi Lyndon George. Just to further explain my recent revert, the infobox is there to summarize the article body, not to contradict it. If the article body says this is the seventh single from his debut studio album
, it makes no sense to make the infobox contradict it. By the way, the same information is found here and was the same at the discography until you changed it there too. I have no opinion on the matter, but the articles should be consistent. I suggest you start discussion on the article's talk page on the subject. --Muhandes (talk) 08:51, 1 August 2022 (UTC)

Please see the linked article talk page and comment there if you disagree. Sources are calling "Unholy" the intended lead single from Gloria (hence why there are two sources directly after "lead single" on the Gloria article) and while "Love Me More" is still a single and included on the album, not the "lead single" per se.
