[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page List of churches in Nigeria has been reverted.
Your edit here to List of churches in Nigeria was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline. The reference(s) you added or changed (https://believersportal.com/history-of-assemblies-of-god-church-nigeria/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 03:51, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Dennis Burton, from its old location at User:TheEpistle/sandbox/Dennis Burton. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. Sulfurboy (talk) 06:19, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

Aaron D. Lewis moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Aaron D. Lewis, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. [edit]Hello TheEpistle. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:TheEpistle. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=TheEpistle|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Praxidicae (talk) 14:41, 19 April 2020 (UTC)
Dear User: Praxidacae, Praxidicae Thank you very much, I love criticism, because it brings out the best in us, so this is what I am looking for. Firstly, I have no association with Dennis Burton, Aaron D. Lewis or Bishnu Adhikar. These creation were simply made randomly. Dennis is a scientist who I found out while going through the Wikipedia:Requested Article pagee. Aaron is a Humanitarian who's work is important to Africans and Blacks. Bishnu is an actor whose movie I recently watched - I saw he didn't have a page and decided to create one. Instead of deletion, suggest you tell me where and what to remove and add to the article and I will be much willing to do that. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheEpistle (talk • contribs) 15:37, 19 April 2020 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Bishnu Adhikari
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Bishnu Adhikari, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Chidi Okoroafor
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that the page you created, Draft:Chidi Okoroafor, was tagged as a test page under section G2 of the criteria for speedy deletion and has been or soon may be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Dennis Burton.jpeg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Dennis Burton.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. creffett (talk) 18:04, 19 April 2020 (UTC)

FYI
[edit]Notability and neutrality are separate, largely unconnected issues. It is possible for a subject to be notable, but their article to be promotional in tone. Contrariwise, it's possible for an article to be neutrally-written but unable to prove notability. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Onward to 2020 21:29, 20 April 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Adrian Young, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Spence (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Mirrors
[edit] Thanks for contributing to the article Don Moen. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Request reason:
Hello, Yunshui. I do understand that this article was supposed to be a draft, my apologies. However, this is not a case of WP: COI, I have used this method of creating articles and this article was still been incubated, rather than reviewed. It was only created a few hours ago and I am not done, nor have I requested a review (after my last AfC submission, I was told I could write articles this way, before a New Page Reviewer comes along. You may go through my edits history to be sure that I have no history of paid editing, nor will I engage in such, this was simply a delivery service I felt I should write about, but I do acknowledge that I shouldn't have edited this in mainspace, my sincere apologies. Thank you. TheEpistle (talk) 14:51, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
Decline reason:
What relationship do you have with Mr Aaron Lewis? You've clearly met him. I agree, your edits resemble paid editing on the face of it. MER-C 19:26, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Thank you, MER-C. I have never met Mr. Lewis nor do I have a personal relationship with him, do I admire him, yes, do I know him personally, no, have I been paid by him, no. I created the article Bonnie Carroll for a similar woman whom I admire and who is a Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient whose story I love, but I did not do this as an UPE, nor have I ever met her personally. Same thing goes for Draft: Quintessa Swindell, I followed the series Twinkets on Netflix and I was a fan of the kpletomaniac role played by Swindell, hence the attempt to create a page. Mr Lewis, was involved in a sexting incident which I followed, hence the motive for the draft, not money. I don't know where this is coming from, but if it's about my recent copyrights issue, may be I should clear the air. I attempted to upload three pictures which have all been deleted, as I was still new to copyrights on Wikipedia, as I was not familiar with these things at the time (Mr Lewis picture was part of them). Now, according to a policy, I contacted the Family Church, where Mr. Lewis pastors to use a picture from their website or a picture they could give me rights to, they responded positively, and I uploaded the other picture. Now, it was noted herethat regardless of this process I followed, they still had to contact Wikipedia by mail, I saw this as "too stressful" so i dropped the picture and left it on my commons. Now I acknowledge that the church tried to reply my mail, but I was not in it, as the gesture was about to be misunderstood and I did not want to thread the UPE path. You may confirm that I also gave up on the draft here, shortly before this block.
I think that I have attempted articles on notable subjects from my personal life (like movies, stories, etc), but my contributions has not been limited to that I have created two RAs, but I do not have any personal relationship with any subject of any article, nor will I be a party to UPE now or laterr. I will be willing to provide further information that would aid this investigation if needed. Thank you, TheEpistle (talk) 21:24, 13 May 2020 (UTC)

A kind second review at my request, would be appreciated, I still retain my initial reason from the first appeal that I have not at any point been a UPE, nor do I intend being one and all my edits thus far have been in good faith. Thank you. TheEpistle (talk) 20:12, 15 May 2020 (UTC)

- Perhaps you'd like to explain why Aaron D.. Lewis himself says that you created the draft at his behest (linking to his Upwork advert here would involve possible outing, but I am happy to email it to a reviewing administrator on request); you may also want to address that fact that you also appear to have created Bishnu_Adhikari, another subject who has also recently been advertising for someone to create an article here. Yunshui 雲水 23:16, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- One can be written off as an unlikely, but possible coincidence. But having two of the dozen or so articles the user wrote about be about subjects who were recently shopping for paid articles is just way beyond even the craziest considerations of coincidence. Sulfurboy (talk) 04:26, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
Thank you,Yunshui. I am absolutely sure that Lewis (whom I have never met), will not say such, I clearly would not direct any comments to him on here, but I can send you a screenshot of the said mail (where I contacted an email on his church website), what ensued here was my only reason for contacting his church, which I am clearly regretting, and like I said, I ensured no further contact as this was not UPE, this in all honesty is the closest I am come to him or anyone associated to him, . If Lewis outrightly claims he 'requested' me to do so, that is absolutely false. You may email the Upwork advert to a reviewing admin and if Lewis claims in the advert that he requested me to create the page, you may request him /his church to show prior contact with me before the article was created, it's really difficult trying not to contact the church during this investigation, but the request for copyright is simply the only contact I have had with them, nothing more. As for Bishnu_Adhikari, I do not have any contact with him, by the way, an editor once contacted me previously about the article (I think at the Teahouse, I cannot seem to find the Archive for that discussion) as regards the picture I used, there was a copyvio which I was not familiar with at the time, and Adhikari never sent any picture to me nor did he contact me. I was not a party to the supposed Adhikari advert, of any other advert, and I maintain my earlier stance that "I think that I have attempted articles on notable subjects from my personal life (like movies, stories, etc)". Similar to the case of Swindell (my favorite Trinkets TV series character), which I created the article after watching a movie, where I loved the choreography, the same thing happened also happened when I saw the Professor's (from Money Heist) remarks on Ikorodu bois, the same pattern has been the case, not UPE, and I think that 50% or so of my edits have been around Actors/Musicians. Also, as much I can remember, I have not even visited nor edited the said page since it was nominated for deletion, my AfC was not a response to any request nor any advert. If it appears there was an advert at the time of creating the article, I have not responded nor been a party to them. Thank you. TheEpistle (talk) 01:44, 16 May 2020 (UTC)

Request reason:
This is to state that I understand why I have been blocked: (UPE), with regards to articles about living persons. As earlier stated, I only contacted Aaron Church as regards to the image copyright issue. I acknowledge my fault in this, as I shouldn't have. I also maintain that even though I had contacted his church, I have NOT been paid for any of the articles, the same gos for the Dennis Burton, Bishnu Adhikari, Geoffrey Kwok, and Bonnie Caroll pages. I hereby request that the block be lifted. No further contacts will be made with article owners for image rights or anything else. Thank you.
