Kmart Australia has embraced the 'run club' trend by launching its own running essentials, with shoppers raving about a $19 must-have summer item.

The 5L 'hydration' backpack with a built-in reservoir has landed in stores - perfect for outdoor activities including hiking, cycling, running or camping.

Designed to keep you refreshed and hydrated on the go, the slimline bag features an easy-to-fill 2L hydration pack, multiple storage pockets and adjustable shoulder straps for a comfortable fit.

The slimline backpack is expected to fly off the shelves, as it would be great for run clubs, which have become hugely popular in recent years.

It's an outdoor activity that brings together hundreds of like-minded people - friends and strangers alike - at a specified location to run, socialise and motivate each other every week.

Shoppers are loving the hydration backpack, particularly its lightweight, padded features, and its convenience in supplying water go on the go.

The new product comes after Kmart's popular 6L two-day hydration pack, which has received over 40 reviews and boasts an average rating of 4.7 stars out of five.

The $22 bag is larger than the new product, offering extra space for carrying essentials, but features a similar 2L reservoir - perfect for short day trips, trail riding, hiking and commuting.

'Took this on a 35km walk and was great. It’s a little awkward to fill up without spilling but can’t complain for the price,' one said.

'I am a meter reader who walks for around six hours a day. This has come to be invaluable for me. Couldn't live without it. Easy to use, has been keeping my water cool in hot weather,' another shared.

'Cheap yet a high quality product. Holds a lot more water than a water bottle and it has a lot of storage space for other stuff,' one added.

And it's not just the hydration bags that shoppers are loving.

With a runtime of up to 12 hours after being fully charged, the 5,000mAh rechargeable battery has two USB charging ports, allowing you to recharge two devices at the same time.

Shoppers, including travellers and campers, have been raving about the product, with one saying: 'It's the best thing I've bought. Had it for a while now and it works well.'

The lightweight charger, which doubles as a torch, has received more than 80 five-star reviews, boasting an average rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars.

'I bought this, hoping it would be good and it has exceeded my expectations. It keeps its charge really well and even recharged my iPhone and AirPods without dropping down a bar. This will be travelling with me from now on, it's eco-friendly and very light. There are many more expensive ones on the market but this one gets my tick of approval,' one said.
