Cadbury's Somerdale plant to close in days
Cadbury's new owner Kraft is set to pull down the shutters on its Somerdale plant within days.
The factory in Bristol has been making bars of Dairy Milk since 1919 and was at the centre of a huge political storm early last year after American processed cheese maker Kraft had promised to keep it open as a sweetener to its hostile bid.
Days after the takeover was secured, the firm announced it would shut the plant, and was later criticised by the Takeover Panel for not giving accurate information to investors.
