A motorcyclist's attempt to pull a wheelie at 100mph ended in disaster when he broke into speed wobbles and sent himself skidding across the road.

Footage of the painful stunt was uploaded online and then published by Jukin Media, which stated he was travelling at 100mph at the time.

The short clip, which appears to be filmed on a U.S. highway, shows the motorcyclist wearing a helmet but no leathers, speeding past rows of other vehicles on the road.

Fortunately the rider was wearing a helmet to protect his head, although the bike was considered a write-off

After pulling his vehicle up into a wheelie he manages to hold the position for several seconds.

But he soon gets speed wobbles - the bike starts spinning and he is thrown from the seat and slides across the asphalt.

The man filming the video on a GoPro camera attached to his helmet then pulls over and runs back to help him.

Although he is seen standing up and walking without any apparent serious injuries, his T-shirt is torn almost completely off his back and he suffers bad grazes.
