Mauro Icardi goes public with new girlfriend after messy Wanda Nara divorce - days after Galatasaray star's X-rated sex texts to estranged wife were revealed

Galatasaray star Mauro Icardi has gone public with his new girlfriend on social media.

Icardi, 31, is currently in the midst of divorce proceedings with his estranged wife Wanda Nara.

The couple married in May 2014, and their relationship rarely made it out of the headlines as they underwent multiple separations. 

However, In July, Nara, a model and TV host who also acted as Icardi's agent, revealed that the pair had finally ended their tumultuous 10-year romance.

There have been several rumours about their respective dating lives since, but Icardi ended the speculation on Thursday as he took to social media to announce his new relationship with Maria Eugenia Suarez, 32, who is an Argentine model and actress.

Sharing a post with several photos of the couple, Icardi added: 'They say the best stories begin when you least expect them. It's fate.

Nara confirmed her tumultuous 10-year relationship with Icardi was over last summer 

'The fate that always finds a way to bring two people together, no matter how much time passes or how many roads there are to take.

'There are encounters that seem to be written in the stars that we used to look at every night as children and dream about so many things. 

'Today I no longer need signals. I know that with you I am where I should be.'

The new love interest of Icardi - who had been linked with dating his divorce lawyer back in November - was never likely to receive a blessing from his former partner.

However, to add insult to injury, Suarez is a former flame of Icardi, with the pair reportedly having had an affair in 2021, although the model insisted she was unaware that the footballer and Nara were still together. 

'I did not initiate, encourage or cause this situation,' she wrote in a series of stories on Instagram at the time. 

'I always believed that they were separated. The cost of the image of a happy family is only mine, not the man who was irrational or made a mistake.'

That fling was one of several marital crises Nara and Icardi faced in their on-off relationship over the years.

Nara, who has two children with Icardi, is reportedly demanding €38million (£32.28m) from her ex in the divorce proceedings. 

Meanwhile, the news of Icardi's relationship comes after sexually explicit text messages sent by Galatasaray striker to Nara were revealed this week.

It has emerged that Icardi sent messages to Nara begging for her to take him back so that they could 'make love' that will 'last forever'.

In texts used by Nara's lawyer as part of the couple's divorce proceedings, Icardi wrote, as quoted by Bild: 'Do you think I want to f*** another girl? You think I want to do something with another girl... I can't! I want to do it with you, [...], like I've been doing it for 10 years and I'm crazy about it and I love it so much!!! Why do you keep saying nasty things about me?'

'I want to feel that peace that I feel when you sit on me and we make love, I want to have that love that has filled me with so much pride for 10 years. Whatever you want... it's the love of my life!!!! And I want it to last forever. We will look for a solution to everything... but let me do it.'

He concluded: 'I know you're dying to f*** me [...]. Will you give us a chance? Will you leave me?'

Icardi's X-rated messages appeared to fall on deaf ears, with Nara seemingly adamant that their relationship is finished.

Nara got police to evict Icardi from her home near Buenos Aires three days before he was due for a knee operation last month in another ugly twist amid their messy divorce.

Officers woke the Galatasaray striker up in the early hours of the morning after Nara reported him for threatening her during an argument over his alleged refusal to move out of the property.

Local reports said Nara alleged Icardi could have weapons inside the house on a gated residential estate in Nordelta about 20 miles from Buenos Aires and prompted a police search of the house which turned up nothing.

He was subsequently served with a restraining order stating he has to stay away from his ex and her home.

At the time of the police intervention, Nara was dating Argentinian singer Elian Valenzuela, better known by his artistic name L-Gante, having first been seen kissing him in a music video in 2022, which left Icardi furious.

However, she announced on Sunday that they have now gone their separate ways, as she revealed that finalising her divorce with Icardi influenced her decision.

Alongside a photo of her and L-Gante holding hands, Nara wrote on Instagram: 'Today our paths separate, to take care of ourselves and focus on our work and our family. 

'My complex and painful legal situation made me take this decision, today my children need me and my time is totally dedicated to them.'
