Dave Portnoy has taken another furious swipe at Zach Bryan after a UFC fighter revealed he was asked to give the country music star a shoutout in front of his ex-girlfriend Brianna 'Chickenfry' LaPaglia.

Fans were left baffled on Saturday night when lightweight star David Onama followed up his victory at UFC 309 in New York by mentioning Bryan in his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan.

Onama said he was planning to return to Madison Square Garden for one of the singer's concerts in the near future, a statement which sparked controversy given LaPaglia was in attendance.

Yet after his win at the weekend, the Ugandan claimed on SiriusXM's Fight Nation podcast that he had been asked to mention Bryan by his management, a revelation which has left Portnoy seething.

The Barstool Sports founder has hit out at Bryan on frequent occasions of late amid his bitter split from LaPaglia, who co-hosts the 'BFFs' podcast with Portnoy and Josh Richards.

And in his latest explosive rant about the American songwriter, Portnoy branded him a 'small little pathetic man'.

'So this past Saturday night, UFC New York, Brianna Chickenfry goes to the event, her first UFC event. She's advertising, she's all over the place - everyone knows she's going,' he said in an explosive video on X.

'During the fight, this guy David Onama wins a fight, gets in the middle of the ring and gives Zach Bryan a shout.

'Obviously people are like, "Oh that's gonna suck for Bri. She's there and they're getting a Zach Bryan shoutout."

'This guy David Onama goes on a podcast that's so odd, the podcasters are like, "What's up with Zach Bryan? You're a big Zach Bryan fan?"

'The UFC guy is like, "I don't even know who Zach Bryan is. His team reached out to my team begging for a shoutout."'

After playing a clip of Onama's comments, Portnoy added: 'This small little 4ft 8 f****ng psychopath is that pathetic and that lost where they've got to beg UFC guys for a shoutout just to try and rub it in Bri's [face].

'No one gives a f***, we know you're popular Zach. You don't need to f****ng bribe people to say your name you pathetic little man.'

Earlier this month LaPaglia accused Bryan of being 'emotionally abusive' while revealing she refused to sign an NDA in the wake of their ugly break-up.

'Me not taking the money [from a non-disclosure agreement] is not just for me, it's for anyone else that's been emotionally abused, it's for people right now that are being emotionally abused,' she said on the BFFs podcast.

'It's for people that don't have a support system that I was lucky enough to have going through this. This last year of my life has been the hardest year of my life, dealing with the abuse from this dude.

'I'm still scared right now, I'm scared of him, my brain is rewired, I'm scared to make him mad. Last week I didn't want to talk about it because I was scared.'

Onama has since released a statement on social media amid the controversy surrounding Bryan and LaPaglia.

'Hey guys, feel like this is getting blown out of proportion,' the 30-year-old said.

'A promoter offered me comp tickets to one of Zach Bryan's concerts if I made a shout out for his upcoming stadium shows.

'I did it because my teammates love Zach and Zach has always taken care of them when he played in Denver.

'Zach did not reach out to me at all about this. Was simply supporting someone who always supported my team'.
