LeBron James sends emotional four-word tribute to son Bronny after career-best display in G-League
LeBron James showed his pride for his firstborn Bronny after a monumental evening in the NBA G League.
In his first G League appearance since December 21, Bronny scored a career-high 31 points to lead the South Bay Lakers to a 122-110 victory over the Rip City Remix.
After Sports Center posted a video of Bronny's postgame interview, the four-time NBA champion expressed gratitude for his son on X.
After an infinite sign, LeBron wrote 'GRATEFUL OF YOU KID!!' followed by the king and heart emojis.
The 20-year-old rookie went 10-for-22 from the field, including 5-for-11 behind the arc. Furthermore, he had three assists, two rebounds, and two steals.
However, the highlight of his evening was a game-tying poster dunk that blew the roof off the building late in the third quarter.

After dribbling the ball uphill, Bronny went around a Christian Koloko screen and drove down the lane for an explosive one-handed jam over Rip City's Sterling Manley.
'It felt great … it's a highlight reel,' James said of his big dunk. 'Not much you can say about that, it was just crazy.'
'I'm just trying to get my confidence back, that's all,' he added postgame. 'I'm just trynna go out, play my game, learn from every game. While I'm not playing in the G, learning from the Lakers, learning from my vets, and just keep trying to be myself.'
When asked about his confidence after the game, James Jr. said, 'I am having fun.'
'Any time I'm playing basketball, any time I'm out here breathing, any time I'm out here walking. I'm grateful for everything.'
Bronny was drafted by the Lakers with the 55th overall pick and has since swung between the first team and their G League affiliate to hone his skills. Since joining JJ Reddick's team, he appeared in 12 games, averaging 0.3 points, 0.2 rebounds, and 0.3 assists.
The Lakers are fifth in the Western Conference with a 24-18 record.
