Katherine Ryan has denied turning to controversial weight loss jabs after her own daughter accused her of using them to slim down.
The mother-of-three hit back at eldest child Violet, 14, after the teenager convinced herself that she was on Ozempic - a diabetes and anti-obesity medication commonly favoured by celebrities as a quick and efficient weight loss treatment.
Katherine, 41, revealed she had been approached by Violet after the youngster watched a handful of cautionary videos about the drug - of which vomiting, stomach pain and constipation feature among its many potential side effects - on social media.
Addressing followers on Thursday, she said: '[Violet] said to me the other day, "Mum, there's like people on TikTok who are going to hospital and they're getting very sick because they're taking Ozempic.
'I can actually tell that you're on Ozempic.'
Despite insisting she had never taken the drug, her daughter remained unconvinced.

She added: 'I was like, I'm not on Ozempic, why do you say that? And she said "it's because obviously you have Ozempic face.
"It's the reason why your skin is like really struggling. It's like hangy and wrinkly now. And I want you to stop using Ozempic because it's obviously hurting you."'
Katherine admitted she had sought other alternatives to quick fix weight loss jabs, including specialist consultations and articles on 'Korean plastic surgery.'
'I'm like, girl, this is what over 40 looks like, enjoy it while you can,' she said. 'We all eventually start to get what now children have been radicalised into calling Ozempic face.'
The comedian is hugely successful in her field and has appeared on shows such as Mock The Week and 8 Out of 10 Cats.
But speaking to Good Housekeeping UK she recalled some unsavoury encounters with male fans who tried to follow her home after gigs.
She said: 'When I started doing television, male audience members could be weird with me.
'I had this following of very strange lone-wolf men… Before I had a tour manager, they'd follow me on to the train and keep talking to me.

'I was trying to be polite and create a boundary, but some of those interactions were scary.'
She also discussed calling out sexual predators in the world of comedy but said that she has been lucky with most of the shows she has worked on.
Katherine said: 'No one has tried anything weird with me because I'm probably very scary.
'I'm aware that by saying that I could be seen to be victim blaming, so I want to make it clear that I'm not saying someone else has received poor treatment because they've got 'the wrong energy'.
'I've been lucky, in part, I think, because of the guys I came up with – Joe Lycett, Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan are just really, really good guys.'
