TALK OF THE TOWN: Ellie Goulding reveals she had to get christened before her lavish wedding to Caspar Jopling

Ellie GouldingĀ has revealed there was a small problem to overcome before her lavish wedding to Old Etonian Caspar Jopling could go ahead at York Minster last summer ā she had to get christened first.Ā
'I was never brought up with any particular religion, whereas my husband was,' says the pop star on her big day. 'So I did get christened so I could get married.'
Ellie ā who was linked to Prince Harry in 2016 ā also admitted her love life was a bit of a mess before she met Caspar, a former Sotheby's art dealer.Ā
'I kissed quite a few frogs. That sounds harsh but that's the best way to say it,' she jokes. 'I did have a few relationships before Caspar... that weren't what I thought they were.
'But when I met Caspar, I just knew.'

The pair met through Amber's new job as a senior adviser at London-based consultancy firm Teneo, and I'm told that the couple are making the most of the lockdown by spending their evenings listening to jazz and watching thrillers.Ā
A friend tells me: 'Amber is the happiest she has been in years.'
