Wendy's announces return of beloved sweet treat, but it won't be around for long
Wendy's fans were delighted to learn the fast food chain has brought back a fan-favorite Frosty flavor.
The restaurant announced that vanilla-flavored Frosty treats are available to purchase again at participating locations nationwide.
Food blogger snachwithzach shared the news in an Instagram post on January 11.
The vanilla Frosty is replacing Wendy's new Salted Caramel Frosty.
Before January, the Vanilla Frosty had been a limited-time item from September through October 2024 at participating restaurants.
It was later replaced by the SpongeBob SquarePants Krabby Patty Kollab Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty.
Wendy's has not confirmed when the flavor will leave menus, but snachwithzach reported that it would be available through late February.

Instagrammers couldn't stop commenting about the return of the Frosty.
A few commenters were surprised to find the flavor back on the menu, while some customers claimed they never knew Wendy's removed it.
'Never thought I would hear that the vanilla frosty is "back,"' one joked.
Multiple commenters asked why the Vanilla Frosty initially disappeared from menus and insisted it become a permanent flavor.
'Just keep chocolate and vanilla then rotate a 3rd flavor,' one fan wrote.
'I never understood why they keep getting rid of vanilla frostys.'

Besides the Vanilla Frosty, Wendy's has been busy promoting its $3 Frosty Key Tags, which returned on December 9, 2024.
The limited-time Key Tags allow Wendy's customers to score a free Jr Frosty.
The fast food chain offers the item to its customers every year to support the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
'Each Frosty Key Tag purchase directly helps find forever families for youth in foster care by supporting the Foundation,' a December 4 press release read.
'To date, the Foundation has helped find forever families for more than 14,800 children across the US and Canada.'
Customers interested in purchasing a Frosty Key Tag can do so at any participating Wendy's restaurant from now until February 16.
Wendy's fourth quarter report and full 2024 revenue is expected to be released on February 13
Wendy's current deals were announced after the company confirmed a successful third quarter in October 2024.
The fast food chain experienced an increase in revenue primarily because of gains in advertising revenue, franchise royalties, and franchise fees.
'Wendy's restaurants continued to deliver sales growth during the third quarter, maintaining overall traffic and dollar share in the QSR burger category,' said Kirk Tanner, President and Chief Executive Officer.
'We continued to strengthen the relationship with our customers through our digital and loyalty platforms while driving growth for the breakfast and late-night dayparts.'
Wendy's fourth quarter report and full 2024 revenue is expected to be released on February 13.
