Codington County’s flood insurance rate map update is nearing completion. The new maps will provide Codington County with more accurate flood risk information that can help local officials and residents make informed decisions about reducing flood risks and purchasing flood insurance.


FEMA is requesting public comments on its National Disaster Recovery Framework, which explains the federal government’s roles and responsibilities for organizing and deploying disaster recovery assistance.


FEMA is seeking public comment on the Public Assistance Mitigation Cost Share Incentives Policy. The interim policy is effective for major disasters declared on or after Sept. 26, 2024, and FEMA will accept public comments on the policy for 120 days.
