As FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell continues to lead the federal response to Helene and Milton in six states, today she is in Virginia to meet survivors and local officials as they continue their recovery from Helene.
While renewal dates have passed for some National Flood Insurance Program policyholders in Florida who were affected by Hurricane Milton, these policyholders may be able to take steps that will renew their policy and receive coverage for flood damage.
FEMA announced that federal disaster assistance is available to the state of Alaska to supplement recovery efforts in the areas affected by flooding from Aug. 5-6, 2024.
