Luxury: Byron Bay's wellness retreat SOMA - which is where the screen adaption of Liane Moriaty's eighth adult novel is being brought to life - is situated adjacent to production's set-up.
Setting: New aerial images have revealed the large scale production unit in Byron Bay where filming for Nicole Kidman's new Hulu series, Nine Perfect Strangers, will commence this week.
Upcoming: Nine Perfect Strangers is based on Liane Moriarty’s bestseller of the same name, which follows nine stressed-out urbanites who escape to a wellness retreat run by Nicole's [pictured] character.
Busy: Filming will run for 19 weeks at the wellness retreat which is surrounded by acres of lush greenery.
Location: SOMA is presumably being transformed into the 'Tranquilium' retreat, which features predominantly throughout the best-selling book.
Sensational: A swimming pool, wooden deck and hot-tub serves as a crucial element of the fictional story's setting.
Best of both worlds: The picturesque outdoor area will also most likely double up as a place for the A-list cast to relax after a long day of filming.
Quiet time: Despite the remote, uncivilised feel of the retreat, it is only a short ten-minute drive away from Byron's epicentre.
Away from civilisation: The retreat also boasts a white dome where guests can partake in yoga classes.
Idyllic: SOMA's website [pictures from their website] promotes the sanctuary as 'mindfully designed with a modern yet warm aesthetic, allowing clarity externally for whatever space you need within'.
Idyllic: It is the perfect place to relax and recharge.
Picturesque: Come sunrise, sunset or any time of the day, there are unrivalled views for guests to enjoy.
Neighbour: Production has set up right next to the retreat despite having the rest of the 22-acre forest at their fingertips.
Ready to go: Multiple trailers and a large catering tent and a filming crane have already been set up.
Coming together: The number of cars parked to the side indicates that the majority of the cast and crew have arrived at the idyllic location.
Protection: There is also security covering the location around the clock.
Exciting: Last month, Nicole revealed she was 'thrilled' to be able to bring the $100 million production and hundreds of jobs to the local film industry after it was sent crashing down by the coronavirus pandemic.
Nicole said: 'It is a great opportunity for me to give back to the community that nurtured me through so much of my career'.
Behind-the-scenes: The limited series is being produced by Nicole's production company Blossom Films, alongside Big Little Lies collaborators Bruna Papandrea (Big Little Lies, Gone Girl) and David E. Kelley.
Hollywood heavyweights: Nicole will also star in the series alongside an A-list Hollywood cast including Melissa McCarthy, Bobby Cannavale, Luke Evans and Manny Jacinto.
Big names: Regina Hall, Samara Weaving, Grace Van Patten and Tiffany Boone are also part of the talented line-up.
At the helms: Jonathan Levine will serve as director and executive producer on all eight episodes of the eagerly-anticipated limited series.
