Sales whispers push Taylor Wimpey shares
House builder Taylor Wimpey saw its shares edge up on suggestions it may sell its US business to the current management or a private equity buyer.
At least one private US builder has expressed interest in the division, Taylor Morrison.
Other potential buyers include Starwood Land Ventures and hedge fund billionaire John Paulson's Rain Tree Investment Corporation.
Shares in debt-laded Taylor Wimpey rose 0.69p to 32.80p. The company is also believed to be keen to sell its Monarch Homes division in Canada.
