Silver jubilee joy for Joules as sales rise 36% following online growth
Clothing brand Joules has celebrated its 25th year of business by notching up strong revenue growth, boosted by especially strong sales from stores on the High Street, shopping centres and travel locations.
The privately-owned company said retail sales from its own stores leapt 36 per cent in the year to May 25 2014. It helped total revenue growth to rise 21.3 per cent to £96.3million from £79.4million a year earlier.
Joules’ online and catalogue sales contributed a chunky 36 per cent growth following investment in the website and new click and collect facilities. The international operations registered 44 per cent sale growth as the brand became more established overseas.

Joules opened 19 stores during the year, taking it to 85 outlets. The group also expanded into new product lines, including glasses and extending its homewares range.
